Wisby Iron Knife
The original was excavated in the wisby graves, it was a iron knife with a wooden handle.
i used mild steel bar stock for the blade and white birch for the handle. the tang was heated
to red and then burnt into the handle, then a iron rivet was used to hold it in place. The sheath
was constructed like other seax and saxon knife finds, veg tan leather was soaked and then clamped
around the blade to hold its shape, then rivited with brass and copper rivets.
